Maqbul Safi, PA-C

Maqbul Safi, who you may be more familiar with as Mac, is a board-certified Physician Assistant who graduated from Penn State College of Medicine in 2026 with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree. He attended George Mason University from 2018 to 2022, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Community Health with a concentration in Clinical Science.

Prior to his role as a PA, Mac provided high-quality patient care at Inova Fairfax Hospital from 2021 to 2024 as a Clinical Technician, working under the supervision of a registered nurse on the night shift for three years.

Mac has always had a passion for cardiology, which has driven him to give back to his community at Carient Heart & Vascular. In fact, he spent time at Carient as a PA student learning from PA-C Denny Nguyen before starting his career here.

He is motivated and dedicated to the wellbeing of our patients and to promoting health literacy. Mac believes in the importance of preventative health and ensuring our patients maintain a high quality of life. He is also passionate about providing acute-level care for our patients, as he coordinates and manages care of patients at multiple hospitals in the region.

In his free time, Mac enjoys watching and playing many sports, as well as spending time with friends and family. Ask Mac his favorite football team — the answer might surprise you!
